The White Rock Pickleball Community Group shared the following:
"The City of White Rock has approved the construction of 4 dedicated courts in the north-west corner of the courts at Centennial Park in White Rock. So that means that next year, 4 permanent nets & posts will be installed at Centennial Park! (The second shared court will continue with portable nets and pickleball priority from 9-3 p.m., with shared usage with tennis outside of those hours)." Walter Knecht, President of PICKLEBALLBC today announced:
"After a period of incubation PICKLEBALLBC is rolling out two grant programs. First is one aimed at the youth sector, primarily under the age of 18. The other is to benefit a more seasoned demographic that may be struggling getting pickleball established. Additional details can be found here. From memory we have money in our 2021 budgets available for the Youth Grant Program. In any case - check the details and make plans to expand pickleball in your area with a little seed funding from PICKLEBALLBC." A new initiative from PICKLEBALLBC, being spearheaded by Heather Hood (Victoria), to promote more opportunities for youth within the sport of pickleball.
