The 2018 USAPA Nationals will be held between November 3rd & 11th at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, near Palm Springs, California. The tournament will host in excess of 2000 players plus spectators and will be the biggest sanctioned pickleball tournament in history.
Qualified pre-registration started on July 15th - staggered registration for all others opens on August 1st.: Open and 5.0……………… 11:00 AM PST, 4.5 (all ages, all skills)……. 1:00 PM PST, 4.0 (all ages, all skills)….… 3:00 PM PST, 3.5 (all ages, all skills)……. 5:00 PM PST, 3.0 (all ages, all skills)….… 7:00 PM PST. To qualify you must play in a USAPA Regional tournament between July 15, 2017 and October 31, 2018 or play in any USAPA sanctioned tournament between November 15, 2017 and October 31, 2018. This from Anne Reynolds, Tournament Co-Director: "Canadian sanctioned tournaments do not qualify..... If an interested participant does not live in the US for more than 3 months a year and is not able to participate in a sanctioned event, he/she may request a hardship exemption from the Tournament Director." Open event entrants must have a minimum of a 5.0 USAPA (legacy) rating by July 31, 2018. Events may open up to 4.5 USAPA (legacy) rated players, depending on participation levels in each event. The dates of the tournaments will be June 27-30, 2019 and June 25-28, 2020.
